Hello everyone,
I hope you're all enjoying your second term despite cuts to budgets, library books being unavailable for a few days (English and German, I'm looking at you!) and inordinate amounts of snow.
At the end of this term, I and 5 other delegates will be representing you at NUS Conference, the annual policy making body of the national union, of which we are currently a member. Our Standing Oders mandate that I ensure we take at least one motion to Conference, so if you have an idea for what we could propose to Conference please get in touch at e.officer@ucl.ac.uk. Any motions have to be approved by our own democratic processes first, so check with me for key dates as soon as you can - the final deadline to submit motions through us is Tuesday 23rd February.
We can also submit amendments to the Zone Reports, which can be downloaded here. They detail what each Zone Committee (HE, Welfare, Society & Citizenship and so on) has been up to and what policy they feel needs to be passed. Please do read them and get in touch if you have any amendments to make.
From the NUS Conference page you can also download nomination forms to stand in NUS elections, which happen at conference.
If you've got any questions, please do get in touch.
